Well heck what a fantastic week we've had with you guys. We were both quite sad to be heading South.

I guess I haven't done the tourist thing much in Britain. If I've moved around it's been for jobs. Not had much chance to see the places I've been.
So to have tea and scones in Harrogate and visit crumbling abbeys has been amazing. Seaside fried fish & fries (sorry - fish & chips), actual castles and quaint little piers and we loved that weird little maze place that you took us to. A bit Alice in Wonderland but so British.
And lunches in country pubs - that I could get used to.
You know what I love about where you are though? No-one gives a **** who you are do they? I mean the A-lister is just a guy to the folks in the village. No fuss. No photos.
I mean the foks in the village pub know him but not as a star. Just as him. No wonder he doesn't want to go home.
Yeah we've had a great time.
But I had to take Pops to London. Wouldn't be a visit to the UK without it. And so here we are.
Such a contrast to the rural North and East and all things in between. All those green hills and beautiful scenic views. Now back to the city. But I guess that feels more familiar to us. And I've set us quite an itinerary. It'll keep us busy. So not much time to reflect on the weird bits of the last few days.
Like Luscious Lydia. Interesting gal. But I still don't like her.
Didn't figure she'd make a play for Pops though. Took us all by surprise - him mostly I think. He reckoned it's been so long he wouldn't have known what to do with her anyway. But still.
Can you imagine her being my step-mom? The stuff of nightmares.
Still weird though. I mean I don't want her attention, but I figured if she was going to make a move on either of us it would be me. Not an old man. Still I guess she tends to go for the older men. But they always have money. Pops has a little now that I sold the Philly place but not the dollars that would keep her happy.
Just weird.
She doesn't like being turned down though does she? Jeez I thought she was going to go into full meltdown.
Just glad Pops wasn't interested. Can you imagine if he had been though? Yuk. I should stop dwelling on it.
How are your folks coping with her at their place?
The whole thing seems quite funny now but still.
Naked women inviting themselves into his shower is a new one on him. And we'd only been joking about putting the wooden wedges behind the doors the evening before. Lesson learnt I think.
Still I think he was flattered. Seems to have knocked a few years off him. Lighter step. Brighter eye. Or I may just be imagining it.
I did check that he still isn't interested. He isn't. Thank god.
Step-mom Lydia no thank you.
Anyway gonna get an early dinner than an early night. Lots to do tomorrow.
So I'll finish here. The I can wait for your post, milady. Updating me on the fall out.
