Auntie Doris sounds like a real hoot! Sorry. Couldn't resist. Nice picture of an owl though.
Things here are wrapping up. Well for me they are. I think there are a few bits they want to reshoot so My Mandy has to hang around for a little longer.
So it was nice for the three of us to have a day out together.
We did this cruise on a tall ship. It was real special. I think I may have found my retirement hobby.
Then out for cocktails (My Mandy's idea) and then dinner at a nice place Pops found in Kensington Market. Yeah Pops has really enjoyed it. And I've enjoyed him being here.
So with that in mind I wondered if you would mind if we visited. I mean I know you have a lot on at the moment but maybe when Auntie Doris goes?
He's never been to the UK. Actually it's probably easier to say where he has been.
And I'm thinking of buying a place over there. Well - have been for a while. Nothing fancy. Just somewhere of my own.
And I've seen a town house. With mooring. In Southampton.
I know I don't have a boat. Yet. But it's for the long haul. And it's an hour away from the facility and a couple of hours from London. Less if I get the train.
So yeah. I've put an offer in. Will see what happens.
And I'm still keeping the New York apartment. Just makes sense to have a base over in the UK too. Given the time I'm spending there.
So we're heading back soon. Pops has some stuff he wants to sort in Pittsburgh. I have some stuff I need to sort in New York.
Oh and you remember the deeds? The place in Philly. Sold it. For a surprising amount actually. Seems it's prime real estate. Pops didn't want any of it but I've told him he needs a travel fund. And he ain't got much of a pension to speak of. So that's what it is.
Means we can spend more time together. And he can visit more of the world. Including the UK.
And we need to finalise the details for the Halloween party.
Oh and I've made contact with the guy who can help with the wolves. He's in Wiltshire. So not that far really from the Convivial Count's place. He says that you'll need to commit to spend some time with them. The wolves. So they get to know you. I guess you could commute from the Dashing Major's place.
I've emailed his details to you.
So I'm feeling good about things. So many positives.
And I'm adding seeing you guys soon to that.
