Tantrums and Towels

Lady

Another good title for a boutique shop only this time selling bathroom furnishings and over priced towels. Perhaps I should ditch the web design business and go into advertising.

Yes it has been a rather wonderful week with you and your father and I'm glad you both enjoyed it. I wasn't quite sure whether we'd chosen the best places to take you but I wanted to take you to some very English places and I think we got that right. And he was very complimentary about everything and did genuinely seem to be enjoying himself so I'm rather relieved about that.

After everything that we've found out about your family I wasn't quite sure what to expect but he is a very charming man and not at all what one might expect the son of a gangster to be like. And not to defend my sister's actions but I can see what might have attracted her. I mean I wouldn't crawl over the Dashing Major to get to Pops but if the Dashing Major wasn't there ...

How would you feel about me as your step-mother, Pirate?

Only kidding.

Or am I?

And as for the errant sister she is licking her wounds it would seem and is driving the parents mad but more on that later.

What confused me about the whole situation is that I was fairly certain that she had set her sights on the A-lister. And yes he absolutely loves the fact that no-one here is at all impressed or bothered about him being an actor. Anyway it seems that he is rather good at reading signals, which I expect he has had quite a bit of practice at, and so had an honest conversation with my sister before any misunderstandings could ruin what might be a wonderful friendship. She now believes him to be gay although from conversations I've had with him I know him to be nothing of the kind. But if that makes her feel better about that then so be it.

So if she had an itch that needed to be scratched, so to speak, that left her with only four other options. Clearly the Dashing Major was out of the question (that much had got into her thick skull) and so that left you, Pops and Piotr the Protective. Piotr had taken to ensuring he was never left on his own with her and so it was down to you or your father. I don't think that she has forgiven you for the telling off at your place after her deplorable behaviour at Gretel's party and so viola! it could only leave Pops.

I do think that even for her a full on tantrum simply because I happened to be outside my bedroom and therefore party to her storming out of Pop's room dripping wet and hardly covered by that towel was over the top. How it could all be my fault is beyond me. And then for her to have the screaming abdabs because her shouting had caused you and the Dashing Major to come up the stairs and therefore see more of her than you were expecting because that towel was not covering very much at all. Well that was just ridiculous.

And at least when you both realised the state of her undress you both turned away and apologised. She really is the most ridiculous diva and I'm afraid it all rather upset me (though I'm hoping I didn't show it at the time) because she and I had been getting along so well for the first time in ages. And then she descends into Luscious Lydia of old.

I am rather relieved to hear that Pops was flattered and not upset by the whole thing. And it has prompted me to get around to putting locks on all the bathroom doors. What is it about females in my family taking it upon themselves to accost men in showers? And before you ask no, I do not seem to be similarly afflicted.

But I think I'm not the only one that relaxed once she took herself off to the parents' place so perhaps it was for the best. At least it was at the end of your visit so that is something.

Anyway her foul mood did not improve once she arrived at the parents and she is, by all accounts, being an absolute pain. Fastidious Faye, who is usually the most even tempered of people, has even snapped at her a few times. As I think I've mentioned before Father-dearest struggles to cope with Luscious Lydia at the best of times but so much tension has been too much for him and so he's now over at mine. Just until she decides what she is going to do. It was the Mother-ship's suggestion so it isn't as if he's abandoned her to the diva queen and it means that he can get his last minute prep in uninterrupted. Although there seems to be an awful lot of catching up with Father Jim happening.

Not that I need to worry about this at the moment though. I'm all packed and ready to head down South to meet the wolf man. So wish me luck and let's hope that his wolves like me enough that we can get this Halloween routine sorted.
