Yeah as reunions go that was ****. But I knew you'd understand.
At least we managed some kinda catch up on the way to the airport.
But like I told you the cops had been in touch with Pops.
Oh yeah. Should explain. It's what I used to call him as a kid - apparently.
Anyway he's not had a good experience with the law so found it a bit difficult. So I thought it best to get back here asap and take over.
He's managed to sort a lot of the arrangements out though. Date for the funerals - yeah plural. They're gonna go in together. Actually I guess that makes it funeral singular. Whatever.
Thing is he also put something in the local paper.
And that has brought some family out of the woodwork.
Great-aunt Susan died a few years ago as you know. But her children - Great-uncle Bojo's half siblings - they're still around.
Seems before Great-aunt Susan passed she told them all about Great-uncle Bojo. So they've been in touch with the local priest - and he asked Pops if he can pass on his number to them.
They're okay actually. Cousin Hank and Cousin Sandra. Seemed real keen to reconnect. And thankfully no drama with them. They had a normal upbringing. Didn't have anything to do with gramps and gran. In fact they didn't really see that side of the family. Mostly just their dad's side.
Probably for the best given everything we know.
Cousin Sandra is big on family tree stuff. I knew you wouldn't mind so I passed on your email. Figured you could share info.
She was blown away that you are British by the way. Apparently she loves the accent. So you may need to call her at some point. In fact if you video called her with the digital family tree that'd blow her mind!
I tried to keep detail on Great-uncle Bojo to a minimum. Just what the cops know really. That he was murdered and his remains only recently found.
But that's not the news.

They weren't the only people to contact the priest about attending the funeral.
