And I'm still here ...

Lady

Well I really didn't expect this. I thought that by now I would be home and fending off the rabid little sister.

The last update from the Mother-ship is that she thinks Luscious Lydia is running out of steam and is making noises about returning to she thinks the States but she isn't sure. There was mention of Miami (so she may well have kept the beachfront property) but she has also mentioned New York (thankfully you are safely here in the UK).

There has been no reason for either parent to visit my house so Luscious Lydia is still blissfully unaware of where it is or what it looks like. Long may that remain. Well at least until I can get it looking like a home.

Speaking of the house, Ever-so-capable Evelyn has come up with some really amazing suggestions for a few of the rooms and has made some small amendments to my kitchen layout/units. She has this fantastic sense of what other people like and she has managed to put together something that is more me than her and I am more than happy with. Anyway I've been working out of my office in the South (as I'm now thinking of it) and liaising with Reliable Rob and it seems that he might have the kitchen units in a couple of weeks time. He also had an update on the windows and doors and they are going to be around that time too. So at present nothing much happening on that front but a flurry of activity shortly.

So plenty of time for me to concentrate on the revamp of the website and what might be done with that cavernous room off reception.

Looking back at the last couple of days it has been fun. And Techy Trevor officially has the best toys. I mean it's like grown up laserquest. And Muscle-bound Mike is an absolute sweetie so has made the gym work so much fun. I'm glad you are doing the combat training though. Not sure how I'd feel about getting that up close and personal with the Dashing Major.

Oh and I think I'm going to have to make him my personal project. You know he has next to no tech in his flat? No PC/laptop, no console, no tablet, and the most modest of TVs. Don't get me wrong it is a very nice flat. Very modern. Huge. But it is like a show home. There is nothing in it that gives you any sense of him.

And he is such a super host. Very attentive. Which was driving me a little nuts so last night I suggested that he might let me help with the cooking. So we decided what we would make and then walked over to the little supermarket just a few streets away and then, yes, cooked a meal and ate it and chatted. He is a really nice guy.

In fact we got chatting about the Convivial Count and I asked him if he had any thoughts on why, when he relies on her so much, the Convivial Count did not seem to take any romantic interest in Ever-so-capable Evelyn. His theory is that the Convivial Count tends to aim for the girls that everyone else wants. It tends not to be an emotional response to a person more an objective assessment that if she is desirable to others around him then she must be worth forming a relationship with. He thinks that the Convivial Count does not trust his own judgment when it comes to relationships. But from what little he knew about Ever-so-capable Evelyn he too thought that she would be good for the Convivial Count in many ways. Love however was not something he thought could be forced and we would just have to see how it all played out.

I think I was being warned off meddling. In a nice way of course.

And I thought the presentation went really well. Some excellent suggestions which I've already started work on and everyone is so positive and so enthusiastic about it all. I've decided that the first 'Intro to our team' should be with Techy Trevor. I know you all had your thoughts on that and some of you thought it should be one of the owners of the business, but I do think his shooting gallery has to be a unique selling point. Anyway even if they don't go with it I can bank it to put out there later.

And now it seems that I'm going to meet Wonderful Will. Sultry Suki was telling me how much they miss him when he has to work away. I said that was understandable but at least she and Serene Kate have each other which must put them at an advantage to a two person relationship. Which she acknowledged.

Back to work though, for all the Dashing Major does not feel the need to surround himself with screens he does seem rather concerned that I should properly set up this office. My office in the South. I did point out that I was hardly going to be a permanent fixture to which he did that annoying thing with his smiley eyes and raised eyebrow and said we'll see.

So now I'm getting ready to go with Techy Trevor to a supplier he uses to purchase the necessary parts and equipment to set up the office proper. And with the company credit card no less.

Oh and when I do go back North - which really should be soon - and obviously when Luscious Lydia has returned to whence she came - you want to come with?
